Hon. Judy Sgro, M.P., York West calls for action to end the strike at York University

Hon. Judy Sgro, Member of Parliament for York West is calling for a prompt resolution to the ongoing strike at York University.

Last week, Ms. Sgro has sent a letter to Premier McGuinty, urging him to intervene to help to find a fair solution to this very disruptive strike.

Ms. Sgro said: “This strike is troublesome to everyone involved, the faculty and students. I am extremely concerned that the current strike will cause students to lose their year. This would be a great hardship for so many students who may then not have the resources to carry on with their post-secondary education.”

For the future of our young people and for the benefit of everyone involved, MP Judy Sgro asks both sides to work together to find a mutually agreeable solution to end this strike as soon as possible.
